DCR Second Quickest Team at Sonoma Test Day Behind Penske

Plainfield, IL (February 6, 2018) – Dale Coyne Racing was back on track on Monday, February 5 with a one-day test at Sonoma International Raceway. With 12 cars on track, the team led by veteran driver Sebastien Bourdais and rookie Pietro Fittipaldi were the second quickest team behind the three cars of Team Penske.

Bourdais was the fastest of the two DCR drivers as he registered the fourth quickest lap of the day while Fittipaldi was a close fifth, less than two tenths of a second behind.

Bourdais and Fittipaldi completed 62 and 53 laps respectively over the course of the day with both drivers satisfied with was accomplished during the test day.

The pair will be back on track on February 9 and 10 for the Verizon IndyCar Series Open Test at ISM Raceway (Phoenix International Raceway). Fittipaldi must first complete his Rookie Orientation Program on February 8 before being allowed to join the rest of the IndyCar field on track.
