Justin Wilson Qualifies Number Four in Toronto

Toronto, ON (July 11, 2009) – Dale Coyne Racing driver Justin Wilson backed up his win last week at Watkins Glen by qualifying a strong Number Four for the Honda Indy Toronto race tomorrow. Wilson will start in the second row in the #18 Z-Line Designs/Leon’s IndyCar.

Justin and the Number 18 car raced into the Firestone Fast Six and the car performed well. Rear grip was an issue in the narrow circuit around the streets of Toronto, but the adjustments between the second session and the Fast Six laps were in the right direction. The team used its two sets of Firestone alternate tires in the second session and Fast Six session. Wilson’s overall time was just a bit short at 61.516 seconds.

“We had a reasonable day today,” said Justin. “We struggled with the rear grip but the adjustments made to the car really helped. I was pleased with the lap on the reds but it just wasn’t fast enough for the pole. Tomorrow should be a very interesting race.”

The IndyCar® Series will be televised live on ABC-TV and coverage will begin for the Honda Indy Toronto on Sunday, July 12th at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
